The 2024 Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) officially launch today!

The awards celebrate the region’s best, brightest, most successful, and innovative tourism businesses and culminate in a breath taking awards event on the 14th November 2024 at the Bridlington Spa. Now in their 14th year, the REYTAs are being run in partnership with the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2024/2025, and eligible regional winners will automatically be put forward for judging in the national awards.

The awards are launched at an exciting time for the region’s accredited Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) with Visit Hull and East Yorkshire having recently appointing a new Chair, Chris Blacksell DL.

This year the REYTAs feature 16 categories, including one bestowed by Visit Hull & East Yorkshire to honour an individual who has made a significant contribution to tourism in the region, the Remarkable East Yorkshire Passion Award. VHEY welcomes nominations for this category.

REYTAs are open to all tourism businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire, large and small. The awards honour the very best, from major visitor attractions and events to hotels and accommodation providers, restaurants, pubs, cafes, food retailers, and producers. Entry is free and easy to complete and can be done online from today. See the REYTAs webpage for categories, criteria and applications.

Entries must be in by midnight on Friday 19th July 2024, after which a shortlist of finalists will be drawn up. Judging will then take place via independent panels and mystery shopping, ahead of a glittering awards ceremony, which this year takes place at Bridlington Spa on Thursday, November 14th, 2024.

Over the next weeks and months, full details of the program for the awards night will be unveiled as we look forward to once again celebrating the very best of the region.
